 “No way! Who would have guessed?”

“Yeah! I heard it from Jamie, so it must be true!”  I replied, proud I wasn’t spreading old news. The bell interrupted my thoughts and I quickly hurried down the hall to my class. First Week of School - Part 2

R-r-r-r-ring!!! As the lunch bell rang, everyone grabbed their bags and made a mad scramble for the door. Pushing and shoving, everyone was determined to get out first. Ahead of the front of the crowd, Kaytlin slipped out the door and rushed for the cafeteria. Keeping her head up to avoid any confusion like yesterday, she rushed down the halls just ahead of the crowd. Reaching the cafeteria line, Kaytlin grabbed a tray, and proceeded down the line. As she reached for a spoon, she looked to the left, and immediately turned red. The girl behind her was the one she had crashed into the day before.
